Another Comic-Con has come and gone. Even though I’ve lived in San Diego for nearly eight years, I’ve never been able to get into the con–but that doesn’t stop me from enjoying the cosplayers! Among the busty babes, costume t-shirts, and “normal” people, there are some incredibly talented and creative artists.
Sadly, I found relatively few LotR cosplayers. (So. Many. Harley Quinns.). Here are the best Lord of the Rings cosplay costumes I found from Comic-Con 2015:
Deinitely one of the better Gandalfs I’ve seen. I think the beard might be real, which definitely helps! Source: Rotten Tomatoes.
I really wish I could have gotten a better look at these costumes since they seem quite good. The man looks like he’s dressed as a hobbit while the woman is clearly dress as an Elf–possibly Galadriel. (It’s annoying how ignorant mainstream press can be about cosplayers.) Source: Discover SD.
Wow. This is probably the best Galadriel I’ve ever seen. Not only is the dress and the hair perfect, but even her facial expression reminds you of Cate Blanchett. I have no idea who this woman is, but bravo. Source: Rotten Tomatoes.
Definitely a good Thranduil. My favorite part is the eyebrows. Source: Racked.
Although this is a really solid example, no one will ever beat the best Thranduil ever, from Wondercon 2015:
Perfection is not a strong enough word. Source: Tested.com (#68).
